I worked with a group to make 4' tall set pieces that Launch would use on stage to act as a background for events all week long.

The letters provided a great visual backdrop all week and helped provide visual context to what would otherwise be an empty stage.

Each letter was composed of 2 layers of foam cut on a CNC router, glued together, and coated in scenic dope. Paints were matched to brand standards to get just the right colors.

Round Tuit

We have a big tradition of storytelling in Launch, one story involves a guy who keeps procrastinating things until he can "get around to it" and when he ultimately retires his boss gives him a small coin of "a round tuit" (say it aloud). Previous round tuits were so small that the pun was often lost on the crowd of 200+ high schoolers, and I decided no more of that.

Each side of the Tuit was laser cut at the Nebraska Innovation Studio and then glued together to make a 20" diameter round Tuit.

Launch Leadership

Launch Leadership is a Nebraska based non-profit that I've volunteered with to varying degrees since 2008. The overall goal of Launch is to promote youth leadership in middle-school and high-school students by using hands on activities and engaging students in conversation about things that might not come up in school.

Launch has events all throughout the year, one day retreats, weekend retreats, and our oldest event-a week long summer leadership conference. At this week long event, Workshop, we have all sorts of events that span an entire campus with upwards of 250 students, and more than 70 volunteers from all over the country.
